About Us

Bow House Inc. was launched in 1971 and is the rebirth of a Colonial Cape Code idea of bending roof beams to please the eye of the seafaring home owners of the time. The roof is sometimes called the “ship’s bottom roof” or “rainbow roof” and the earliest existing bowed roof Cape was built in 1678 in West Falmouth, Massachusetts. The Cape Cod roof was designed to withstand the fury of the Northeast gale and many of these original homes still stand today. Because of their inherent good looks and sensible design, our reproduction homes are built the length and breadth of the United States and Canada.

In the timelessness and acceptance of the basic Cape form, Bow House provides a sense of history and is a phenomenon of genuine aesthetic appeal. Our commitment to craftsmanship, quality, and customer satisfaction has provided us, personally, with a great deal of satisfaction.

The experience of working with enthusiastic clients from Maine to California has taught us much over the nearly forty years that we have been in business. We look forward to the opportunity of sharing our expertise with you as you plan your new home.

Kindest Regards,
Jack & Wendy Rogers
