Bow House realizes that in many parts of the country, good reproduction architecture in plan and execution is difficult to obtain. The older ways of home building are very often not in the mind of the designer, nor in the hands of the carpenter.

Even if an architect is retained, there is no assurance that he will respect their clients’ wishes or budget. There is also recalcitrance among local builders and a reluctance of local lumber yards to inventory building components other than the standard items, which effectively eliminates individuality.

Because of the differences in the cost of construction in different parts of the country, the following steps are recommended to determine the local cost of a Bow House:

Once you have determined the rough size and design that would best suit your needs, the next step would be to order a Pricing Kit. For a deposit of $200 and a signed copyright agreement form, Bow House will send you several sets of standard working drawings closest to your needs to include Specifications, Building Manual, and Detail Sheets. These items will allow you to secure rough building estimates from your local builder. Throughout this process, Bow House is available to answer any questions and speak directly to the builder.

After rough pricing is secured, the process goes into the Custom Design Phase. With a deposit of $2000, our designer will work with you to design, and re-design if necessary, your home until it has met your specific needs and desires.

Package Price
When the design is finalized, a specific package price will be prepared for the final plan. A 20% deposit is required to order the package with the balance due upon delivery, unless other arrangements have been made.
