As each home we build is a custom designed home, the way you live and your personal preferences control the design process. The design of a house is governed by the plans which then define the size and shape. The specifications define the materials and the details define the overall architectural and aesthetic appearance. We have designing homes since 1971 and consider ourselves to be quite expert in New England Colonial architecture. Over the years, each home has been as distinctive as the owners that designed them for and to date, no two have been designed the same. We have also designed many other types of Colonial homes such as gambrels, salt boxes, and straight roof Capes with barn additions.

Design is difficult to define, it is both subjective and objective. A well designed house will "greet" you every time you come home, whereas a poorly designed house is just shelter.
